A TLS certificate used on our back-end API failed to automatically renew as expected, and all devices rejected the expired certificate as a result. The root cause appears to be a change made to how the certificate would renew to work around a change our certificate issuer will be making in 2021 to switch to a new root certificate authority. We apologize for any inconvenience the outage might have caused.
